The rapper turned mogul Queen Latifah has teamed up with VH1 to celebrate Minaj’s career at the ‘VH1 Big in 2015 with Entertainment Weekly‘ party.
Fans of the ladies will be pleased to learn that the show tapes Nov. 15 at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles and airs Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on VH1, coming before they release the latest ‘Barbershop’ movie in which they both star.
Minaj’s honour marks the latest piece of good news to fall into her career’s puzzle this year. For, she recently announced that she was joining the likes of ‘Scandal’ and ‘How To Get Away With Murder‘ by inking a deal with ABC that will see her star and produce in her very own TV series!

Missy Elliott 4 platinum albums, has written and produced dozens of hits for other artists and has won grammys. True hip hop. Don’t get me started on Lauryn Hill’s accomplishments.
Lauryn Hill, Lil kim, Foxy Brown, MC Lyte, Eve, the Brat, are real hip hop pioneers who influenced other female hip hop artist. I like some of Nicki Minaj features, but she is not hip hop and her songs are forgettable. These lady’s have classic hip hop songs that will not be forgotten. Nicki has talent but she will not be a legend in hip hop with the music she’s making (anaconda).
She needs a, crush on you, I’ll be, the rain,work it, ladies night,hot spot, gotta man, love is blind, doo wop (that thing), everything is everything, who’s that girl, funkdafied, Lyte as a rock.
Let’s be clear that money isn’t a factor. TLC is on of the greatest female groups of all time but they went bankrupt. Same with a lot of legendary artist.

Not only was she a pioneer of bringing Hip-Hop to the mainstream world of music. But she was truly the last artist to Change Music on a Grande scale and create a HUGE impact that transcends just hip-hop. She made a timeless album and made conscious music writing a huge part of mainstream music. She created a moment in music that many are still trying to recapture. Hill was everywhere from the States to France to Japan. I really don’t like when they discredit these other successful MC’s by calling Nicki the Most Successful.
Missy has 6 PLATINUM ALBUMS AND ONE OF THEM IS DOUBLE PLATINUM. SHE HAS 5 GRAMMYS AND SOLD OVER 15 MILLION ALBUMS. LAURYN DESTROYED EVERYONE WITH HER ONE ALBUM. OVER 12 MILLION COPIES, 8 GRAMMYS. LIL KIM HAS 3 PLATINUM ALBUMS. Nicki is the most successful on the hot 100 and for single sales. That’s about it.
Y’all kill me comparing 90’s and early 2000’s sales to 2010 sales. Missy hasn’t had a platinum album since 2003. #FACTS. Her new album won’t even go gold. Kim can’t even release a free mixtape and her last album only sold 500k. Lauryn is bat s*** crazy now and doesn’t even respect her fans enough to show up to concerts on time. Missy released albums in 05 and 06 and neither went platinum. Even Ciara was pushing millions of units around that time. I have nothing more negative to say about the musical genius that is Lauryn Hill. PF went 2x platinum in 2010 at a time where female rappers were irrelevant. RR is close to 1 million units and TPP has sold over 650k units not even mentioning her global stats. Y’all so jealous of Nicki it’s not even funny. From 2000-2009 the musoc industry lost on average 8% of albums sales every year. 2013 marked the first time ever that digital downloads surpassed physical sales.
